Because it was an awful, barely playable, ungodly piece of shit.

And I'm not positive if it's ok with Suow, but go for it. It's a map that should be remade, hopefully into something better.

Its okay, since we have remade most default maps already (at least the ones that need remaking).

It's a little late, but maybe I should try airpirates?

I could expand the lower two floors, and make it look a bit like an aircraft carrier...

You can remake any map you want.  It doesn't matter if two or more people are remaking the same map.  We can even compare remakes and see which is better. :)

I may make a remake of ctf_Ash, dunno if I'll make it in time though.

To clear things out, I can remake the looks and some of the layout as long as it looks alike the original, right?

Of course, but I took a close look to all ctf default maps, wich most have been already picked up, and the one I do have an idea to remake it is that one, I was going actually for Death2 or Raspberry, but I couldn't get a scene I like. And that's basically why Ash =\

If it's not good I could go back to my first choice wich was Death2.

No reason you can't do Ash, as far as I understand.  It'd just be a more difficult choice as it's already a popular, well played map.
